After almost falling into a deep bout of depression last night, today wasn't looking so hot either. It wasn't until late in the evening when I got an unexpected phone call from a friend asking me to go to the movies with him. Of course we watched Angels&Demons, which was a fantastic movie AND book, and it felt nice to finally watch a movie about Christianity without the whole controversy factor that usually follows suit (ie. da vinci code). Afterwards, we went to Perkins (our usual place of late night hangouts) and talked of just about everything under the sun. Case in point, I am so thankful for my friend who unknowingly gave me a great deal of encouragement and assurance that there in fact
is people left at home who care about God! Hahaha jk, kinda. Moreover, I am so grateful that God saw through my storm and sent someone to hold out an umbrella over my head. God delivers when we put our trust in Him, and He
never fails to provide. Throughout the whole night,
Matthew 6 kept flashing in my mind:
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear." (Matthew 6:25)
Worrying only hinders you from getting those worries into actions! Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understandings, for He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
