F is for freshmen.. and frustration.

This year has got to be one of the most difficult and most challenging year in my Christian life. We live with a new era of kids who, although the same generation, grew up in church all their lives without ever getting to know God first-hand. It used to be when people would actively seek out churches to find friends and hang out (albeit it isn't the "right" reason to go to church but at least they were guaranteed some "good" kids to have fun with). Now they completely shun Christ and the whole idea of church to the back of their minds, lock it, and shove the key deeep into their pockets; and the only time they bother to reach in and fish their key back out is on sundays out of habit from living with their parents all their life.
Lord, I beg of you to bring upon Your Holy Spirit and with it the spirit of conviction into these people's hearts. So that one day they will pause and realize that the life they lust after is full of empty hopes and promises for their future. The only future we have hope for is in You. How can I make them realize that? Or to at least help them see that? Show me, God, please.
