Matthew 8: The Faith of the Centurion

Jesus performed miracles left and right during this time. He healed all sorts of diseases and drove out many demons from people. When Jesus was in Capernaum, a centurion came to him and asked Jesus to heal his sick servant back at home. A centurion is a commanding officer in the Roman army, so here's a man who holds a pretty high position humbling himself before Jesus. When Jesus agreed to follow him back home to heal his servant, "The centurion replied, 'Lord I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. (verse 8)" This centurion had so much faith that he did not need Jesus to physically go with him to heal his servant. He believed in the power of God. I pray for a faith such as this. I always ask God in my prayers to show me a clear sign rather than trusting and having faith that He has already answered my prayer.
