Spiritual Paramedic.

Just want to add on to what Hannah mentioned in her blog about filling up that spiritual void.. As Christians, I believe that there never is a permanent hole. Like a pothole that becomes corroded over time from being trampled on by cars, that hole has been patched up and filled by the love of Christ. His sweat, blood, and tears went into filling that void. I think when we experience moments of loneliness, emptiness, sadness, etc. that's when we need to call upon our Mighty construction worker and ask Him to fill up that hole again. What causes those holes to keep coming back are our sins. Like when you fall down and skin your knee--with Christ on your side, it's like having a 24/7 emergency paramedic next to you. Like Hannah said during prayer meeting, you go to the hospital because you're sick and not because you're healthy. What's a band-aid gonna do to your gash, when what you really need are stitches? What people really need are stitches rather than slapping a band-aid over their wound. Jesus the cure, the world provides only temporary treatments.

Oh, and happy birthday, Aaron!
