How deep the Father's love.

Two more days until I leave for J-Gen, and I can feel the anticipation building up. I don't doubt the Spirit moving within us and stirring hearts in preparation for the upcoming week. I'm not going into this retreat with the expectation of undergoing some radical change, but that God would provide me a spiritual boost to keep on fighting the good fight and to fall deeper in love with Him. After reading the next chapter of 1Corinthians, I was reminded of what Apostle Paul prayed for the people of Corinth, and thought it appropriate to apply it to everyone who will be attending J-Gen next week:
"4My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, 5so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power." 1Cor2:4-5
As much as I'm excited for the energetic, passion-filled praise sessions, I'm looking much more forward to the sermons hoping to absorb as much of God's Word as possible so that one day I would be privileged to have a glimpse of not the wisdom of men but God's secret wisdom.
"9However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"— 10but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. " 1Cor2:9-10
Please pray for my heart, that I may carry with me a servant's attitude to humbly and joyfully serve and lead my group of girls. For the Spirit to search our hearts so that we may grow to love Christ even more together. I can't wait to see and experience what God has prepared for us this year.
