So true.. Satan is so good at throwing us curve balls that are in the form of our desires and what we think we need.. but just like you test jewelry for its authenticity, we need to check the things we learn and receive for Truth.

This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world."
I went to quite a few missions trips throughout junior high/high school.. and almost every time I got to witness some of my peers being oppressed by demonic spirits. One important thing I noticed when the pastors would pray over them was that every time they would say anything in the name of Jesus, the person would squirm and kick and scream in agony, coughing and gagging.. and it was clear that Satan can't stand the name of Jesus being heard or said. Even in the rest of the world, those who hate God can't stand hearing the Truth being spread..

I think this is very important for us to remember.. It's not that we loved God first.. No, we did not "let God into our lives." Rather, because He loved us first, He gave us the ultimate gift of love which was His son Jesus.
