Mad World.

My eyes were opened tonight to the unrelenting, stubborn hearts of men that Apostle Paul so accurately described in Romans 1. How foolish are we to think that God desires us to be happy with the way we choose to live our lives! I emphasize happy to distinguish it with joy. If sinning is what makes us happy- stealing clothes, cheating on our spouses, lying to our families, engaging in sexually immoral indecencies- is that all justified because what God ultimately wants from us is our happiness?? I give a big, fat NO. He desires our hearts that are willing to love Him and glorify Him. He desires every part of our being--down to our very last fault. But we are to recognize, acknowledge, and most of all REPENT of our sins.

"21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools" Romans 1:21-22

It's crazy how what Apostle Paul said to describe man over 2000 years ago still applies to us to the dot. My heart really breaks for those who don't know Christ and the beauty of His grace and majesty. It's so necessary yet so disheartening to come to terms with the realities of the world. Only Christ can save us.
