cool story, bro.
the craziest thing happened to me today... but i have to rewind to last friday first. our work rarely lets us wear jeans on fridays, but because of breast cancer awareness, they let us wear jeans as long as we wore something pink on top (....i do not own very many pink tops- oh wait! i have a pink cardigan!! yes!!! i can wear that!!). to complete my outfit, i wore my gold necklace my mom bought for me as my graduation gift. i usually wear it all the time, just not to work because kids like to tug on my shirt or anything they think is worthy of getting their little hands on (which is pretty much everything). but today was special so i topped my outfit off with my favorite accessory. went to work as usual and did my thing. it wasn't until break time when i was looking through our class's digital camera of pictures we took from art time earlier in the morning when i noticed a picture of me WITHOUT my necklace!! i looked down and OOOMMGGGG my necklace wasnt there! i combed the whole classroom with the help of another teacher but it was all to no avail.. we both looked at the trash can and exchanged uneasy looks because at that point it was pretty much a needle in a haystack. so i gave up and started the weekend pretty sure that i'd never see my expensive necklace again... UNTIL THIS MORNING when i got to work and my coworker was like "RACHEL ISN'T THIS YOURS?! IT WAS SITTING AT THE FRONT DESK SINCE FRIDAY!" AHHHHHHH ELATION/RELIEF/HAPPYHAPPYJOYJOY X100000! someone up there is seriously looking after me. :D i must have not clasped it on all the way that morning and it slipped off when i walked into work. of all the places it could have fallen into- outside, in the trash, a kid's mouth.... THANK YOU GOD for showing me mercy. i deserved to never see that necklace again because i'm so reckless and careless, just like i am with my prayer life and reading the Word. i misplace God all the time because i don't take the time to treat him like the precious jewel that He is. oh this necklace story has really got me thinking now. . . . tbc
