1 Corinthians 7

Just came home from a long day of church, sister's graduation/celebration, and praise practice... Today was such a God-filled day, I wish everyday could be like this.

I read chapter seven of 1 Corinthians.. about marriage and singleness. Apostle Paul lays down a butt load of rules because apparently back in the day in the city of Corinth, mankind was just as sexually deviant as the people of today--and this is without the help of adult stores, sex shops, playboy mags and porn videos.. One thing that stuck out to me was verse 34:

"An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord's affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world—how she can please her husband." (1Corinthians 7:34)

Take advantage of singleness! And dwell in the Lord's love as much as possible, especially when there is no man to distract you. I have to keep reminding myself this constantly even though I've blogged about singleness a few times before.  . . . . writer's block. I am so tired. -o-;
