Relationships (part 4?)

I got this from gotquestions.org haha but found it to be useful:

"When one is in a committed relationship, whether dating or courting, it is important to remember to love the Lord above all else. To say or believe that another person is "everything" or most important thing in one's life is idolatry, which is sin." (gotquestions.org)

"Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worth of me." (Matthew 10:37-38)

Thus, (as I must constantly remind myself day in and day out) I am embracing my singledom!! This topic seems to be pretty repetitive and redundant throughout my blogs, but that's how much I have to keep reminding myself that anyone who comes in the way of my walk with Christ is merely a distraction and ultimately not a good thing for me. When I do decide that I am ready to date again, I want my relationship to be different than any of my previous ones in the sense that he and I will always strive to push each other in our walks with God. The ultimate goal of dating is to find your life partner right? Well, that's my ultimate goal.. haha. I'm waiting for that guy who is strong enough in his faith to push me and encourage me in my faith as well. But for now.. girls rule & boys drool. Hehe!
