eat the Word.
I'm starting to realize the importance of having your own personal Bible. I used to think that as long as I have internet access, I don't need to bring my Bible with me anywhere because now they have the whole book online. But I've made so many markings and highlights and kept so many notes in my Bible, it's become almost like a guidebook for me. I've made bookmarks in there for quick references when I am in need of encouragement and advice, and when I go to BibleGateway.com, I don't know where to start. At first, I didn't mean for my Bible to become my personal Bible, because it was really my sister's extra copy; I only used it because my friend lost my first one (sad face). But what I thought was my first personal Bible, really wasn't that personal except for the fact that it had my name on it. The one I have now is thick, fat, and sorta resembles a dictionary, but I've come to realize that I really used this Bible. I dove into the Word and it's helped me through so many things over the years. I'm not trying to exaggerate the actual object.. I just miss my Bible right now. And I'm sure it misses me sitting on my desk in my room all by itself.. :c
