“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.

they will all wear out like a garment.
12 You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,

Hebrews 1:10-12
Everything in this world is temporary and bound for destruction. The only thing we can bank on is the love and power of our God. He who made all things for the sake of loving us gave His son to us so that we would not perish just like everything else but to have eternal life. How can we ignore such a fact? I think we underestimate God's sovereignty more so than not. We put Him in a jar in our hearts and use Him like He's some genie that's supposed to pop out at our wills. Need to keep in mind that He is above all things.
