Hebrews 2

"17For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. 18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted." Hebrews 2:17-18

This is what distinguishes Christians from other religions. If someone came up to you and tried to sell you a product, you would want to know if the product actually works right? If the salesperson had never used their own product before, they can't for sure say that their product is guaranteed. It's about credibility. What other god from other religions can say that they know how we feel and what's best for us? Our God loved us so much that He made himself in human form as His son to live among men to exemplify the life worth being called holy, and then died for us so that we might have a chance to live a holy and blameless life as well. As we have many temptations day in and day out, so did Jesus. He was human after all. But he showed us that they can be overcome by overcoming the devil himself. God isn't some sadistic being who puts us through trials just to see us squirm. He'll never put us through anything that we ourselves cannot handle.
