i can hear the second hand of my clock ticking away right now.. and all i can think about is how fast and how constant time goes by. it won't ever stop for anyone- it just goes and goes. makes me wonder if i used up all those ticks and tocks well and how much time i had ever wasted. anyway, since we can't go back, we look forward and PRESS ON.
we all set goals in order to motivate ourselves in finishing a desired task. without goals, we essentially are left without a sense of direction. in the christian sense, our ultimate goal is to end up in Heaven and be with our Father. even
Colossians 3:2 says to
"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. " but sometimes it's so easy for me to lose focus and fall off that track. michael chung tells us to stay SINGLE-MINDED (hand motion included, of course) just as apostle paul did, but what happens when my single mind starts straying and shoots off into multiple avenues? it's like walking on a tightrope.. it takes total concentration to walk across, but one little distraction can cause you to completely fall off. i think i need those black eye blinds that horses have to wear to prevent them from distractions.. so when sin pokes and jeers at me, i'll be able to avoid it and just keep moving forward toward the cross. those eye blinds i guess come in the forms of brothers&sisters who encourage you with God's love and spiritual leaders to keep us in line with the Word of Truth.
