Matthew 3: John the Baptist

This chapter mainly described of John the Baptist. This guy was on top of it when it came to living a Christian life. He rebuked the Sadducees and Pharisees of their hypocrisies, and many came to him to confess their sins and to be baptized. But then John the Baptist said that there was someone much greater and more powerful who even he was not worthy of carrying their sandals. So when Jesus came to him to be baptized, John the Baptist told him that it is he who should be baptized by Jesus. But Jesus insisted that he should be baptized by John, so John agreed. How awesome and terrifying and humbling would that be! What an honor and a privilege to be the one who baptized the Messiah himself. On the flip side, we see yet another act of humility on Jesus's part.
